Behind The Image: Capitol Dome

This image was captured shortly after the Kansas State Capitol finished construction.  I've always found the State Capitol to be a beautiful building but this shot seems to capture the nice quiet moment of my visit that morning. This print and many others are available at https://squareup.com/market/edrakephoto

Behind The Image: Mix

The image Mix came from several shots I took from of a friend while he was learning to dj in his bedroom.  Many of them are great shots but I particular love this shot as it shows the motion of the crossfader in action.  A copy of this print hangs in the Highland Park High School library.  This print and many others are available at https://squareup.com/market/edrakephoto

Behind the Image: Rainbow in a Jar

As long as I can remember, Skittles have  been my favorite candy.  I had gained a couple boxes of the original, tropical, and wild berry flavors for a different project but it would look to create a rainbow in a jar with them.  A very delicious rainbow!

During Ashley's shoot, her aunt Dee shot these photos of me shooting Ashley. I'm very appreciative of Dee shooting these as it gives me a view I never get to see and it's also fun to view life through someone else's vantage point

A visit to the Kansas Air National Guard Museum

A couple weeks back, I visited the Kansas Air National Guard museum with my daughter and my grandfather in law. He was stationed at Forbes Field and fought in the Vietnam War. It was a truly great experience to walk through the museum with him and hearing first hand information about the exhibits.
