The Red Dirt Rebellion

While in Austin for the Gettin Sauced competition, I met the Red Dirt Rebellion of Austin, Texas. They are a pretty good bluegrass band who performed throughout the afternoon.  Check them out if you ever get the chance! 

 

Adventures with Uncle Sunny's in Austin

 At the end of August, I went to Austin, Texas with Anton of Uncle Sunny's Gourmet Barbecue sauce for the Gettin' Sauced Barbecue sauce competition. (pictured left: Darren and Anton).  Uncle Sunny's Special Blend took 5th overall in the tomato mild bottled division.  Spicy Blend took 7th overall in the tomato spicy division.  In the People's Choice, Haba-Honey took 4th and Spicy took 8th!
